Taonergy is a Vietnamese-born singer-producer based in Dallas, Texas. He grew up in the north of Vietnam on his mother's and grandmother's lullabies, Bắc Bộ folk songs, Chinese drama soundtracks on rented VHS tapes, and the pop and hip hop his mother carried home from Europe. He began producing in 2012 as TinyC, releasing on global labels edm.com and Otodayo Records, with the viral Vietnamese hit *Nóng* (BigDaddy, Hanh Sino), collaborations with Sơn Tùng M-TP, Binz, Soobin Hoàng Sơn, Tiên Cookie, and Bích Phương, international dubstep splits with Dubscribe, Holly, Arius, and Kermode, the track *Turn Me On* placed in Beat Saber, and 1st place at the Vietnamese EDM Contest in 2013. The Taonergy project began in 2024. Every track is self-written, self-produced, self-mixed, and self-mastered in Ableton Live, anchored to one of the five elemental phases of Ngũ Hành.

All of it landed in the same ear.

He started producing as a teenager on Audition 1.5 with a cheap mic. From 2012 to 2018 he released as TinyC, a Vietnamese hip hop and EDM catalog spanning original tracks, remixes, and dubstep on global labels edm.com and Otodayo Records. Highlights include the viral Vietnamese hit *Nóng* (with BigDaddy and Hanh Sino), an official remix of Sơn Tùng M-TP's *Cơn Mưa Ngang Qua* performed on Vietnamese television, collaborations with Binz, Soobin Hoàng Sơn, Tiên Cookie, and Bích Phương, international dubstep splits with Dubscribe, Holly, Arius, and Kermode, the track *Turn Me On* placed in the Beat Saber rhythm game, and 1st place at the Vietnamese EDM Contest in 2013. The Skrillex era pulled him deeper into electronic sound design.

The Taonergy project began in 2024. Every track is self-written, self-produced, self-mixed, and self-mastered in Ableton Live. Each release anchors to one of the five elemental phases of Ngũ Hành (Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth), letting the cycle of the work mirror the cycle of the year. Upcoming work includes a Concept EP, *Bốn Mùa / 4 Seasons*.
